Elena, a stylish woman from the East Coast, arrives in Telluride with a past she’s desperate to forget and her eye seemingly fixed on the prize. Eyes are on her too, but she’s accustomed to that. Her hedge-funder boyfriend Spencer is handsome, rich and charming—a prize. Together, they are the sort of flashy, attractive tourist couple you often see dotting the slopes of Aspen, Telluride, Deer Valley, places like that. But Spencer’s massive “2nd home” atop the ski mountain puts him in the most rarefied air, the kind that draws a certain amount of admiration and also resentment, usually, from other men, especially the locals. They seem very compatible and once she learns to ski, they’ll be perfect. But something happens when she and burnt-out, handy-man in a cowboy hat, Jesse Sinclair, lock eyes. Something she can’t resist and he refuses to let go of. It will cost her perhaps her last best chance at life atop the mountain, but it will cost Spencer and Jesse much more. Because hell hath no fury like Elena when she feels cornered.
Scheduled to attend Judd Bloch.
